One Day in the Westbank

There is this one palestinian Village in the Westbank arguing with israeli Settlers over a Spring since 2009.
Every week there are symbolic Protests.

Our Journey started at the باب العمود Damascus Gate in Jerusalem by taking the Bus to Ramallah at 8 in the morning (continue).

In 2010 OKID26 & JOKE42 declaired Tel Aviv as the NEW BARCELONA.
Abandoned Buildings & Industrial-Areas, Daytime-Painting in the Center of the City, best Street-Food, the Beach, Cafés, a most friendly &
hospitable Scene, a Police who do not care much for Graffiti.

In Israel the first who ever did Graffiti were the Nah Nachs (נ נח נחמ נחמן מאומן‎), a religious Group
following the teachings of some special Rabbi. Since 15 years they are painting their Slogan “Na Nach Nachma Nachman Me’uman” all over the Country.

Tel Aviv – Yesterday around 300 People remembered #J14 (14th July), the Day the Israeli social justice protests began.
On the High Point of the Protest 460.000 People demonstrated on the Streets across the Country. It´s been 6 months right on the day.

1. Photo: 26-year-old Daphne Leef initiated the Protest by putting the first Tent on Habima Square / Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv.

My dear Friends Hanno, Nina und Joschua mit einem spannenden Artikel in der aktuellen JUNGLE WORLD. Fotos von mir.

JUNGLE: »Sie haben ständig Autos mit Steinen beworfen und Straßen blockiert.« Heute fliegen lediglich vereinzelt Kartons auf die Straße. Als der Fotograf die Szene
mit seiner Kamera festhalten will, wird er von einigen Jugendlichen umringt, die das Display seiner Kamera beäugen und verächtlich auf den Boden spucken. (..)”

In Tel-Aviv on the Evening of January 10th around 300 People protested against a Bill the Knesset just passed.
The Bill could put asylum seekers in Jail without a Trial. Israelis who help Migrants can go to Jail for 5 – 15 years. Read more on Haaretz.
